There was great interest from more than 500 Salzburg doctors in a round table on the current corona vaccination strategy, at which they were able to exchange ideas with LH Wilfried Haslauer and deputy Christian Stöckl via video conference. Haslauer expressly thanked the Salzburg medical community for their work in the pandemic and the opportunity for a constructive discourse. “It is important that doctors who may have reservations about getting vaccinated now remain in the same place in the prioritization list,” said Haslauer.
Flexible vaccination strategy
Stöckl also understands the concerns of medical professionals, but emphasizes: “In the pandemic, the rules of the game are constantly changing, so we have to be flexible and consistent at the same time. We are always very well networked with the federal agencies and adhere to the priorities of the national vaccination committee, ”said Stöckl.
Medical Association for Cohesion
Salzburg’s Medical Association President Karl Forstner stated that the current crisis can only be overcome together. “Anyone who does not want to be vaccinated now has the chance to be vaccinated again every day. Starting next week, all general practitioners and their employees who are ready to be vaccinated will be vaccinated against Covid19, ”said Forstner.
