The sportswear giant is increasing its productivity and optimizing communication with a smooth PLM remote implementation amid the pandemic

Founded in 2012 in Birmingham by then-teenager Ben Francis and his high school friends, Gymshark has grown from a small screen printing business to one of the fastest growing and most recognized brands in the fitness industry. The Gymshark product team, named the UK’s fastest growing company in the Sunday Times Fast Track 100 in 2016, has grown from 44 to 125 employees in the UK, Hong Kong and Mauritius grown. As a result, Gymshark had problems managing complex product data. There was also a risk of delays and errors as several documents were used by different teams at the same time.
Gymshark began implementing Centric Software’s PLM solution in January 2020. In March, at the beginning of the PLM workshops, the lockdown came. As a result, all training, testing and the implementation of the first phase were 100% remote.
