Why Meghan and Harry are allowed to keep their title of duke, apparently not all Brits can understand. So tweeted among other things BBC– Radio presenter Andrew Neil: “It’s not a big problem, but do we have to keep addressing them as Duke and Duchess?” He is certain: “Certainly, Mr and Mrs would be more appropriate and they would want that too.”
Even if many Twitter users agree with him, the Duke title cannot be shaken. In fact, the Sussex title was a wedding present from the Queen to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. For this reason it cannot be challenged against the couple.
Harry is also entitled to be called “Prince”. As the son of an heir to the throne, the 36-year-old is entitled to the prince title from birth.
