Make new out of old: Huawei starts a new smartphone exchange program

Huawei has started a new trade-in program for smartphones in Germany. Together with Teqcycle, experts in the field of take-back concepts, a new website was launched in the Huawei online store.

Customers receive a discount of up to EUR 540 when they exchange their old device and an additional EUR 350 as an exchange bonus when buying a new Huawei smartphone – so up to EUR 890 can be saved. Particularly practical: the old smartphone you traded in does not necessarily have to be from Huawei – selected iPhones and iPads, Samsung Galaxy phones or devices from other manufacturers are possible.

In terms of environmental protection, Huawei even promises to recycle customers’ old cell phones.

In order to secure the payment or the discount for the old device, the desired new Huawei phone must first be selected on the promotion page. On the next screen, click on “Yes” under “Trade-In”. Then you choose the cell phone that you want to trade in.

Then some questions about the condition of the device have to be answered, on the basis of which Huawei will later submit an offer to the customer. Then the IMEI number has to be entered – we explain how to find it out here.

The online order can now be completed, whereupon the customer sends his old cell phone to Huawei and later receives the cashback after the final evaluation of the residual value for the purchase of the new Huawei smartphone. According to Huawei, the new cell phone will be delivered within the next one to three working days and free of charge.
