Wiener Austria is pushing ahead with its future planning. In an extraordinary meeting in the Generali-Arena, the supervisory board unanimously accepts a proposal from President Frank Hensel and appoints Gerhard Krisch to the board of directors of FK Austria Wien AG.
“The decision was preceded by an intensive selection process including an assessment process by a renowned personnel consultant,” said the Viennese in a press release.
President Frank Hensel is pleased about the “new commitment”: “In Gerhard Krisch we have been able to win a successful manager for the board of FK Austria AG. He will start his work on May 1, 2021. Gerhard Krisch has several functions both inside and outside the world of sport, his leadership qualities and his expertise in financial matters have been demonstrated. I am looking forward to a successful cooperation for the Austria family in advance. “
The 55-year-old Krisch will add Markus Kraetschmer, who most recently acted as sole member of the board, to his agendas from May and bear overall responsibility. Kraetschmer still has a contract until June 30, 2021, talks about a contract extension are ongoing.
The same applies to the future of Peter Stöger at FK Austria Wien.
Hensel also addresses the two personal details: “We are in a very harmonious exchange with both of them and are hoping for a decision as soon as possible in order to be able to define the fields of activity.”
