The new timetable for the Austrian national team towards the European championship, which has been postponed to this year, has been fixed since Wednesday. As in the previous year, the shape of Franco Foda’s team against England and Slovakia should be brought into shape. Only the locations have changed.
Immediately before the 16th, but for the first time in Europe, played on June 11th, the test against England on June 2nd and the game against Slovakia on June 6th are on the program. Unlike the games that were canceled due to the coronavirus situation and the postponement of the European Championship in the previous year, the home rights were swapped.
The duel with England, the 1966 world champion, will not take place in Vienna, but in Great Britain. The neighborhood duel with the Slovaks takes place in Austria. The exact locations of the two duels are still to be determined. Ticket holders for the home game against England planned for June 2020 will get their money refunded in the coming days.
In addition, the ÖFB reported the key data of the EM preparation on Wednesday, there were practically no changes compared to the original plans for 2020. A one-week training camp is expected to start in Bad Tatzmannsdorf from May 26th, and on June 8th the EM- Checked in at the base camp in Seefeld. In the final round, the Austrians will face North Macedonia (June 13, Bucharest), the Netherlands (June 17, Amsterdam) and Ukraine (June 21, Bucharest).
